Flushing and Marine Pumps
Reducing operating costs by using a purpose built flushing unit improves efficiency and speed of operation. Seawater flushing of marine hoses is usually a requirement if hose sections are to be removed from CALM or Spar oil terminals to prevent oil spillage into the marine environment.
Flushing pump sets are designed to rapidly flush out oil residue with a high volume flow of sea water.
They operate in as self-contained units and are readily transportable.
A flushing pump set, typically comprises of a single sate centrifugal pump with a direct drive, diesel or electric motor.
A automatically primed suction pump is usually included for sea water lift.
The specifications below are standard. Configuration depends on the client’s site disposition, pipeline and pressure head at the terminal.
